We, the founders of GBA, Dimitris Diamantidis, Lazaros Papadopoulos, Nikos Hatzivrettas and Costas Charalambides, started the operation of GBA (Greek Basketball Academy) in October 2011. This is an activity that is primarily motivated by our love for the sport and our need to offer young and old friends what we have learned through our experience in the basketball courts. GBA is now an Athletic Club called “Greek Academy of Basketball” . The founding members are athletes, journalists and people of sports. The vision of GBA for each member of our sports family is the transmission of ethos, fair play and respect, as basics of sports education. The GBA is intended to develop the sport and help youth to deal with basketball and progress their life through it. For us, sport is first of all civilization. Since the establishment of the academy until today, there have been significant development steps. Since its first year, the academy attracted great interest, laying the foundations of a healthy organization. GBA managed in such a short time to establish the space and be one of the most famous basketball academies in the city of Thessaloniki. Covering now our fourth year of operation, the results of our work are evident. Over 450 children, aged 5-15 years, are trained at the academy and our racing teams and interest is still growing<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
