Nikos Zisis was born on the 16th of August 1983 in Athens. He commenced his career in XAN of Thessaloniki at the age of 13. In 2000 he is transferred to AEK in Athens, where he played with great success for five years. His next stops are the following teams: Benetton Trevizo (2005-2007), CSKA Moscow (2007-2009), Siena BC (2009-2012), Bilbao BC (2012-2013), Unics Kazan (2013-2014). On December 29, 2014, Fenerbah\u00e7e \u00dclker acquired Zisis. With Zisis playing around 20 minutes per game, Fenerbah\u00e7e advanced to the 2015 Euroleague Final Four. It was the first time in team’s history that they made it to the Euroleague Final Four. On May 15, 2015, however, they lost in the semifinal game to Real Madrid, by a score of 87\u201396. On July 16, 2015, Zisis signed a two-year contract with the German League club Brose Baskets. His presence in the National Team is constant from 1998 til today and therefore he holds the title of the team leader. His greatest achievement with the National team is the golden metal in 2005 Eurobasket.
