Stavros Tsoukalas was born on 28th of May 1988 in Thessaloniki. He started playing football at the age of 5, for Omonia Stavroupolis. He then moved to Iraklis Ampelokipon, Elpides Ilioupolis and APE Lagada. That is where he was first seen by the people of PAOK, and moved to the second team. Stavros Tsoukalas spent two years on loan to Doxa Dramas and then was immediately loaned again to Cypriot team Nea Salamina. In January 2011 he returned to PAOK. On 14 June 2011, he renewed his contract with the club until 2015. At the beginning of 2012\u201313 he was informed that he was not part of PAOK’s new coach Giorgos Donis, plans. On 7th of August 2012, his contract was mutually terminated. On 8 August 2012 and after the contract termination with PAOK, Tsoukalas agreed to sign a two years contract with PAS Giannina, where he plays up to now.
